Celine Dion Death Hoax: 2 Rogue Facebook Apps Claims

Celine Dion is the latest victim of a celebrity death hoaxes in Facebook. Two Facebook Apps reported that the singer died "both" in an airplane crash and car accident. Facebook users were advised to click on the App to find out more information. As an outcome, many Facebook users frantically attempted to gain access to this rogue applications looking for more info in regards to the fake misfortune prompting the user's Facebook Profile to be compromised.

The fake posts claim to be from Fox News and CNN which read, "R.I.P. Celine Dion 1968 - 2013? and "Her heart will go on? Celine Dion died in a car accident".

"Celine Dion presumed dead in private plane crash", Global claims that Celine died today at "Denver Peak-Regional Airport". a small private aircraft in distress ceased radio contact with the control tower and fell below radar frequency after reporting engine trouble and smoke in the cockpit. Actress, Celine Dion was believed to have been a passenger on the flight. Raw footage of her accident has been recorded and leaked to Fox Exclusive News but cannot be broadcasted over the air so it was uploaded via the internet for the public to view. Highway Safety Investigators have told reporters that Celine Dion lost control while driving a friend's vehicle on Interstate 80 and rolled the vehicle several times killing her instantly. The vehicle was believed to have been traveling at approximately 95 miles per hour in a 55mph zone at the time of the accident. Witnesses have stated that Celine Dion's car crossed the double lines several times prior to the accident and hit the center lane divider causing the vehicle to flip and roll. Toxicology tests will be performed to determine whether she was driving under the influence, however initial findings indicate that drugs or alcohol did not contribute in any way to this accident as it was more likely to been caused by road conditions. Memorial services for Celine Dion have not yet been announced. The service is expected to be a closed casket funeral due to the severe head trauma. This is not only a Fake Report, but it is also a Malicious Facebook App. Your Facebook profile is now compromised. The provided video link from "CNN" and "Fox News" will send the reader to a misleading Facebook app which when installed, will then re-post the same false story on behalf of the user without their knowledge.

If you have installed it by clicking on a link posted by a friend, you may also want to help and inform them about how to remove this malicious app.

Lesson Learned:
NEVER CLICK any post link or news link from site that you don't trust. NEVER INSTALL or click any button or application from any link that asks you to install something. Please be wise and don't be naïve when it comes to fake and malicious social media links. Don't be a victim.

That was sick. Spreading false news on the social media is a very bad thing. People will stop believe on the information from Internet completely.
